Boomer Youth Flyers instruction program [seeks FAA program endorsement] is focused on commercial industry preparation of YACA members. Mastery of aerodynamics, FAA rules & regulations are primary goals of the Boomer Corps Division. The mastery of charts and pubs, meteorology, flight planning, radial navigation, Mean Aerodynamic Cord (MAC) shift measurements during flight (fuel consumption, wind calcs) critical barometric pressure changes in enroute/destination, flight log, cockpit team work, AIr Traffic Control (ATC) phraseology, stall procedures for Heavies (Aircraft type), jet routes navagation and directional flight levels, entering left handed flight patterns, fuel calculations, ATC publications, glass cockpit, fly by wire, short field T/O, primary 6 indicators, passenger communications, crab landings in low visability, Instrument Flight Rule. flying blind and multiple instrument failure emergency procedures are some of the skills our young aviators will grow to acquire with measured efficiency.
Boomer graduates have a real shot at becoming aviation industry professionals. With minimal real aircraft flight hours (for recreational pilot license) a fully ranked Boomer will become FAA certified 3rd class pilot. The young YACA officers will be groomed, primed and poised for Airline Transport Pilot training by any world class airline. With an FAA approved program, graduate students with YACA wings will be ready for any professional pilot program in the world.
